The Learning Center

The Learning Center consists of a Before and After School Program for children. Open from 6am to 6pm, the Before and After School Program consists of early morning care, breakfast and free play followed by transportation to school by the STS van fleet. As children (from TK [Transitional Kindergarten] to 8th grade) complete their school day, STS vans pick up the children and transport them back to The Learning Center. The After School Program consists of a combination of homework completion help, academic skills practice in math, reading, and writing, followed by supper and play time outside. There are also arts and crafts, computer games, sports games and more.

The Learning Center also provides a more personalized academic support program in Foundational Learning by using strategies and materials with proven success. The goal is to help children progress toward grade level achievement or exceed it.

The Learning Center offers a Summer Camp experience for children, from TK through 8th grade that consists of arts and crafts, sports/recreational activities, and a variety of field trips.

The Learning Center operates through grants, donations from community members, and parent fees.
