Insurance Broker/Community Activist

With a belief is that every child has a right to a childhood and every child has a right to be and feel safe, Phyllis Gordon has served her community in nearly every capacity. She is now a self-employed insurance broker and wife of 38 years.

Phyllis Gordon has demonstrated this community involvement by serving as a member of the following organizations: Community Advisory Commission, Community Violence Solutions, Rape Crises Centers for Marin and Contra Costa Counties, Contra Costa Women’s Commission, Contra Costa County Hall of Fame, Community Development Block Grant Committee (City of Pittsburg), Soroptimist International of Pittsburg, Women in Financial Services (WIFS) and the Professional Women’s Business Exchange (PWBE).

Ms. Gordon has lived in the city of Pittsburg since 1981.
