Dr. Lender Golden 
Dr. Lender Golden has served as a teacher and administrator in the public education sector for over 38 years. Dr. Golden’s career with the Vallejo City Unified School District began immediately after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley where she completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Dr. Golden continued her education and trainings with graduate work at San Francisco State University and UCLA where she focused on Administrative Leadership, Management for Instructional Improvement and Support of Student Instructional Programs and School Reform. She also obtained her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Administrational Leadership.
Dr. Golden also trained at the Personnel Institute at Pepperdine University focusing on all aspects of Human Resources with emphasis on Workplace Investigations, Complaints, and Sexual Harassment. Trainings in sexual harassment were also provided by the Association of California School Administrators where she was a certified trainer.
Throughout Dr. Golden’s career with the Vallejo City Unified School District she has served with distinction in numerous positions. She began as an elementary teacher grades 4th – 6th. She also taught science and math at the Continuation High school. Dr. Golden also served in the position of Dean, Assistant Principal, Vice Principal and Principal. She was a Coordinator of the District’s Career Education Program servicing over 16 elementary schools. Other Administrative capacities were; Assistant Director of the VCUSD after school programs elementary to secondary, the Director for Human Resources both certificated and classified. She served in Secondary Curriculum Instruction and completed her career in Student Support Services where she was the Superintendent’s Designee for Expulsions and the District’s Expulsion Officer.
Dr. Golden’s distinguished service also includes her work as a District Representative for Management bargaining. Vice President of the Vallejo Managers Association and an Adjunct Instructor for the Tanner Project, a program which encourages and assists minority high school students in furthering their post-secondary education. Dr. Golden was nominated and selected as the Assistant Principal of the year for the State of California in 1997. She was a proud recipient of this award and represented the entire state of California.
Upon retirement, Dr. Golden has started her own consulting business i.e. (Educational Consulting Services), with emphasis on Tutoring, After School Programs, Educational Leadership, Administrative/Principal Coaching, Teacher Coaching, Human Resources with emphasis on Sexual Harassment and Educational Law (Due Process).
