Alicia Bracy-Cruz is pleased to join the STS Academy Board of Directors. She is currently the Los Medanos College Student Services and Instructional Support Coordinator for their Student Outreach Department, Welcome Center and Student Success Team.
Alicia holds a Bachelor of Arts in World Arts and Cultures from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with additional education including: Youth Development, Business Management and Life Coaching. For the last two decades, she has committed herself to organizations that serve marginalized populations (specifically urban African American and Latino communities) through academic enrichment, cultural performing arts and STEM programs. Since then, she has also worked in various student support and administrative capacities at institutions of higher education including: the Admissions Office and the Center for African American Studies at UCLA, the Math Lab at Diablo Valley College (DVC) and through Student Services, Admissions and Records, the Transfer Center, the MESA Center and the STEM Grant at Los Medanos College (LMC). Alicia has also held membership in various college committees at both DVC and LMC with a special focus on equity.
